Honored to call you friend and again your business advice was not wrong, I thought it was important for Classified Blacks to own out on league. You are a great strong melanated brother that I respect and love!!
We were blessed to have you by our side! Definitely the Dream Team for real....
-Isiah Thomas (NBA Legend)
I wanted to take the opportunity to offer congratulations on your book "Dirt Under the Cap". What a surprise to find the book while conducting a different search (John Charles Bennett regarding Alfred Hitchcock). Your book was at the top of the search and I quickly recognized you. I did not take long to purchase the book and in brief, enjoyed every event and all the details you shared. I've forever been interested in the good and bad of sports agents such as Dwight Manley to William "Tank" Black and several others. Additionally, I was a huge fan of Isiah Thomas and Marvin Webster. It's tragic to read about Marvin yet warms my heart you were there for him throughout. God bless you! Suffice to say I was not aware of your FBI career, forensic accounting expertise and FEMA experience.
-Doug Cox (Director of Public Safety at DePauw - Retired)
Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your book. I remember how you talked about having some nursing homes, and I found it really interesting to read how it all came about. It was also nice reading about your daughter, as well as seeing your efforts to give back to the Region. As a fellow accountant, I greatly appreciate seeing where our skills have been used creatively to benefit people beyond saving them tax dollars or giving companies a clean audit bill of health.
Giving a shout out to my ECR high school classmate, friend and Frat, Charles Bennett, for his outstanding accomplishment and trail blazing experience with guiding the NBA Players Association (NBAPA) to carving out a fair share of revenue with the National Basketball Association (NBA). This is a good read! Congratulation Charles
-Michael Young (Chicago, IL)
Just finished Dirt Under the Cap…great summary of your work. Bought some copies for the team and will make sure we get them for all of the team going forward. Fun to relive it all and remember the early days. Hard to believe how long we have been doing this!

Just finished reading your book. Quick read and entertaining. Learned a lot and if you ever talk to Isiah again-give him my apologies. Like many, I blamed him for the demise of the CBA. Looking behind the curtain, I and many were wrong. You have been blessed beyond your wildest dreams and have endured much in the process. To you my bro, congratulations. You earned and deserved them all. God bless you.
-James Dozier (DePauw Alumni / Detroit, MI)

The format.., the font.. Your appendix is very creative way of exposing Old School.

-Rick Bowman (Miami, FL)
I read and enjoyed the book. It brought back a lot of memories and I was sorry to learn how unjustly they treated Charles Grantham.
